PK The Movie :: My Review :: GOOD is GOD, Religion is man created

Here is my review on PK the movie.

Sunny's Rating: 4/5  Don't Miss it.

The movie is more on highlighting the thin line between the mental strength/support given by the invisible strength called "GOD" and the so called Business messengers of GOD misleading the people for their benifits.

This point is highlighted by a Character called PK(Amir Khan) who is an kind of new born character to Earth visiting from planet outside earth.

Introduction is of how Amir lands on Earth and looses his Communication remote with his planet to return back.

Few months later...

PK epxlains his travel on earth and his search for GOD to Anushka sharma   This is more of the first half... Purely driven by Sensitive an sensible dialouges trying to make viewers think and get awareness on the day to day scenarios happen around us on the name called GOD.

First half also has a small love story of Anushka sharma in Belgium and her return back to india to a news channel reporter Job.

Parallelly PK keeps on searching for GOD who can help him in getting his Remote back. And he sees the remote near a god man projecting the remote as an gift from GOD and trying to sell himself as Godman.

Second half is more on how PK clarifies people on the real meaning of GOD and how these godman are misleading people with an  WRONG NUMBER dial to GOD.

Pros:
Dialouges (the best part of teh movie which I liked): Sensible dialouges conveying sensitive point on religion and GOD. (Ex: Kaun Hindu Kaun muslim dabba dikhaaaaa (telugu: hindu evaru muslim evaru logo choopinchu.))

Screen play and Direction

Few scenes explaining the different religions and distinguished by costumes but not by human or blood.
PK searching for logoon newborn Kids for their religion :)

Amir Khan
Anushka sharma
and supporting Cast

Music : Loved the background score and then the songs.

Cons:

Love story scenes  in 2nd half slightly mislead the main point but Indian films need some commercial scenes :) so can be considered as an minor point.

Android Lolipop Highlightes/features

Finally  Android got a quick makeover and offer us  some simple and extravagant changes. Yes, It is the Andorid (L)olipop v5.0. Does these changes make our lives easy? Is Lollipop far advanced than its previous version (Kit Kat)? Lets list some of the prominent changes that we have in the latest update when compared to the previous version.

Flashlight Toggle
Lollipop brings out that change, Without installing any third-party apps, users can simply use the flashlight by pulling down the notification panel. Provided your  smartphone has an LED flash.
Battery life/tools
Battery seems to be given priority in Lollipop. Lolipop displays how long it would take to charge the phone and a small graph displaying how much time is left before the battery drains out. After you have plugged in the phone for charge, your home screen will display the time until full charge.
3. GuestUser Login
We all have people around us who lay their hands on our phones, similar feature available in LG G2 in previous android versions. Thankfully, Android Lollipop supports guest user . Just like different logins  in Windows, Lollipop gives you the ability to add guest users or even create a profile for a each person friend or relative. This way, you can limit the amount of information that the guest user  can view.
 Notification panel
Needless to say, the notification panel has been made too simple for the user. It’s simplicity in design is the plus point. Unlike KitKat, the most useful feature added here is the ability to view your detailed notifications on your lock screen. Though this might be a problem around work spaces if you leave your phone unattended, anyone can have a look at your notifications even though your phone is locked.
Trusted Places
Trusted Places is a smart feature which has been added in to Lollipop. Though most of our phones have passwords, it would be a task to disable it when we enter familiar premises such as our car or home. Trusted Places is a feature where a user can declare certain locations as safe and they wouldn’t need to unlock their phones once they enter those spaces.
Soft keys UI change
Soft key buttons receive a change in this update and it is a rather, a surprising change. The icons are smaller and look compact. A very simple yet pleasant design.
Multitasking
Multitasking has completely changed in Android Lollipop. The feature allows you to scroll through your notifications in a simpler manner. It is easier and allows you to see more details even before you enter the app.
Prioritize apps
It can be super annoying if your phone is filled with umpteen apps and throughout the day, you are bombarded with notifications. Lollipop gives you the liberty to prioritize your apps so that you can receive notifications from the ones you want. It works out perfectly during sleep hours as you can only receive notifications from important apps and not games or check-in notifications.
Quick access to Chromecast
No need to install any third-party apps once you have the updated your phone to Lollipop. There is an official app now from Google to solve our problems. For the people who love to stream media from dongles, it is as simple as going to the notification panel and taping on Cast Screen.
Material UI
The Material UI introduced in Android Lolipop is simple and best in performance due to its light weight design. Material UI is the major UI update in Lolipop. Android provides the following elements for you to build material design apps:
·         A new theme
·         New widgets for complex views
·         New APIs for custom shadows and animations

Kartikeya Movie :: Sunny's Review

Kartikeya Telugu movie Review

Pros:
Casting: nikhil has done a decent job, swati has a small character and gave her best to it.

music and songs

Story and theme

Camerawork

Screenplay till climax last 20 mints climax ntng to get thrilled

direction: a decent direction for a debut director.

Cons:
Holding the thrill till end, the thrill factor shown around the temple is lost at climax.

i didnt find much thril difference between introduction mortuary scene and climax....

Songs are good but such so called thriller movies should not have songs in visuals having songs looses grip over the theme.

it would have been good if yhe time for the luv track is used more for adding thrill and a lil longer and thrilled climax.

Final verdict: one time watch for the decent performances and direction  if last 20 mints would have been taken more care it would have been an bigger hit.

Trailer is more thrilling than movie.

Nachite chaduvukondi ... nachakapote patinchukokandi ;)

Govindudu Andarivadele.. My Review

Rating: 2/5 (major share of rating goes to Srkanth and background score in charans closeup and acting scenes :D :P)
Verdict: Average (movie minus Ram Charan)
              Worst (movie with ram charan)

Story is routine with a mixture of Krishna vamsi's previous family flicks like Seetaramayya gaari manavaraalu, Murari, etc.  No refreshing content.

Pros:

  • Krishna vamsi's magical locations and traditional looks (even though routine scenes from his previous flicks)
  • Background score: especially it helped when only ramcharan is visible on screen, to elevate the scene even though no expressions from him.
  • Kajal is looking good, expected heroine projection in KV's movie :)
  • Srikanth: The best part of the movie. He is refreshing and looking good. Awsome acting skills. He is the only +ve of the move to give relief and redue the dosage of pain killers :D :)
  • Rest of the crew: All of the casting delivered their best acting skills for the routine story except Ram charan.
  • Couple of dialouges on Traditions and Language.

Cons:

  • RAM CHARAN: the biggest -ve of the film. Bujaalu egarestu kallallo glysarine vesukunte adi emotional or edupu scene avvadu.... There should be some expression in face. I ddint see one expression atleast from his face in entire move. Being a star actor giving expressions should be a basic feature of any actor. (BIG THANKS to the background score atleast tried to help to elevate the scenes).
  • Songs: Songs are not having the magic as in KV's family flicks avg songs.
  • I didnt get whre the main villans like Kota and his family except the last scene whre in charan was shot with flow of bullets (of course he lives on defaults to climax scene of a star movie :D :P)

Adannamaataa :)
Nachite navvukondi ... nachakapote marchipondi.....

Google introduce Android to wearable: introducing Android Wear

Wearable computing is set to take off in a big way as the Internet giant Google introduced Android Wear
Android Wear, as the name suggests, is meant to put Android on wearable devices such as smart watches.
Google will be releasing the official Android Wear APIs to device vendors who want to put the power of Android in their health and fitness bands, smart watches and other wearable. LG G Watch is one of the smart watch which will be released soon with android gear.

Wearable devices driven by Android Wear include ‘OK, Google’ functionality and Android’s rich notification system. Also shows users timely information and suggestions via  Google Now.
Health and fitness functions are supported as well: users can get their fitness summaries and set their goals with reminders. Fitness apps taking advantage of the Android Wear APIs can give users fitness stats such as real-time speed, distance and time for their run, cycle or walk.
The most interesting feature oo Andorid wear  is the ability of Android Wear devices to relay on  voice commands to other devices such as smartphones, tablets or Chrome devices.

The company said that first Android-powered wearables are coming later this year. Jump past the fold for more information and a pair of pretty good promotional videos…
Google says it’s partnered with fashion brands like the Fossil Group, hardware manufacturers such as Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung and chip makers Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm to bring you watches powered by Android Wear later this year.

Here’s a quick video tour of Android Wear from Google .

Although Android Wear is starting with smartwatches, the project is conceived to go well beyond wrist-worn devices and should include health and fitness bands and other form factors.

Highlights of Android Wear include, according to Google:
Useful information when you need - Android Wear shows you info and suggestions you need, right when you need them. The wide variety of Android applications means you’ll receive the latest posts and updates from your favorite social apps, chats from your preferred messaging apps, notifications from shopping, news and photography apps, and more.
Straight answers to spoken questions - Just say “Ok Google” to ask questions, like Capital of india,, what time your flight leaves, and the score of the game. Or say “Ok Google” to get stuff done, like calling a taxi, sending a text, making a restaurant reservation or setting an alarm.
The ability to better monitor your health and fitness - Hit your exercise goals with reminders and fitness summaries from Android Wear. Your favorite fitness apps can give you real-time speed, distance and time information on your wrist for your run, cycle or walk.
Your key to a multiscreen world - Android Wear lets you access and control other devices from your wrist. Just say “Ok Google” to fire up a music playlist on your phone, or cast your favorite movie to your TV. There’s a lot of possibilities here so we’re eager to see what developers build.

Developers should check out a new section focused on wearables on the Android website.

Google says a bunch of existing Android apps that support notifications should work well with Android Wear. The company will be soon releasing more developer resources and APIs soon.

Waiting for the Smart watches with Andorid wear, May be the best combination for smart phone users to check the phone updates via wearables rather than referring to the phone everytime.

Cloud Computing Overview

Cloud Computing Overview

Definition:
Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.
How It Works:
ü  Utilizes the network as a means to connect user end point to resources that are centralized in a data center.
ü  The data center may be accessed via the internet or a intranet, or both.
ü  Allows access from a variety of end points such as a mobile phone, a PC or a tablet.
ü  Cloud services may be designed to be vendor agnostic, working equally well with Linux, Mac and PC platforms.
ü  Allows access from any internet connected location, allowing Telecommuting, and Outsourcing.
ü  A user endpoint with minimal software requirements may submit a task for processing. The service provider may pool the processing power of multiple remote computers in "the cloud" to achieve the task, such as data warehousing of hundreds of terabytes, managing and synchronizing multiple documents online, or computationally intensive work.

Types of Cloud
There are three types of the cloud:
l  Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
l  Platform as a Service (PaaS)
l  Software as a Service (SaaS)

Layers

Why to use Cloud Computing
ü  Website traffic fluctuates.
ü  Visitors expect steady, fast performance regardless.
ü  An infrastructure able to handle peak traffic requires capital investment.
ü  No matter how big you build it, it still may not be enough.
ü  Having to choose between overspending or under-provisioning is a classic dilemma.

By deploying your web application in the cloud, you can avoid this dilemma. You can eliminate the upfront fixed investment, and still gain access to compute resources to meet peak loads with on demand scalability, while still paying only for the compute time you actually use.

Evolution of Android

Android 1.0 Astro
Android Astro was launched in 2008, with features that were mainly oriented for business and work purposes in smart phone segment.
Android Astro was released with great apps and support for using the Internet and Internet-based services such as: full HTML support in the browser, video playback with a YouTube app, and Google services like GTalk, Gmail, Google Maps and Google Sync.

It is the the first mobile operating system to pull off the pull-down notification window, and with support  of  Widgets and apps that can be downloaded and updated via the Android Market even though the market wasn’t as heavily populated then as it is now.
Thus, this version was mainly focused on the smartphones market, with less focus on entertainment features, Android users have less control over the Camera, and there is no support for video playback in build in media player. Android 1.1 (Bender) featured mostly bug fixes and updates, and was the first ever software update for Android.

Android 1.5 (Cupcake)

Cupcake was Android’s second major release, but the first commercially available version, which featured a good amount of bug fixes, and plenty of good features. It was introduced together with Android’s first touchscreen-only phone: the HTC Magic.
Widgets were introduced; Google started allowing third parties to produce widgets for Android use. Cupcake also enabled the copy-and-paste feature – which we so take for granted now – from plain text on a page to internal apps.
Users can easily swap between Still Camera and Video Camera modes with a single touch and without leaving the camera app. Video recording was made available in MP4 and 3GP formats and the auto screen rotate that we see in our devices was added in this version.
Users are also treated to uploading capabilities for videos and photos to Youtube and Picasa, respectively.

Android 1.6 (Donut)

Android Donut was launched in Sept 2009 contains several new updates including text-to-speech technology.
Search can be done by text and Voice, and this is not restricted to just the Web; you can also search your bookmark history, Contacts, Music, Dictionary and the Web with this method and from the same search box.

App screenshots/ previews are now available in the Android Market. This update also supports WVGA Screen Resolutions and better performance. The Gallery App was fully integrated with the Camera App for better and faster viewing of photos from the camera App.

Android 2.0/2.1 (Eclair)
Eclair, Android 2.0 and its update 2.1, was released in Oct 2009, bringing in a new UI and introduced of Live Wallpapers.
Android users were also treated to the virtual keyboard for a faster typing experience and if typing takes too long, then the speech-to-text technology is the best alternative. There’s also Bluetooth 2.1 support.
Configuration of multiple email accounts at the same time and the syncing enables synchronization of emails and contacts easily across mails accounts and the Android device. Calling or texting has become a lot easier by using a long press over the Contact Name, to Call or Text them. The Camera app on Android 2.0 has flash support, Scene Modes, white balance, and digital zoom among others.

It was introduced in this version as well, along with support for HTML5 and an improved navigational experience with Google Maps.

Android 2.2 (Froyo)
May 2010, Android 2.2 /Froyo gave  though  competition in terms of OS speed thanks to the Java V8 engine and JIT compiler which launched apps faster than ever.

Features like USB Tethering, Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot are added to this version and users can toggle data access.
Users can also now run Flash on their Android device and are treated to picture preview stacks in the 3D photo shot gallery without selecting to see the full photo first. The remote wipe features that allow you to wipe out your data in the event of a lost or stolen phone for better data protection.

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) released at end of 2010, around six months later after Froyo. Users are able to quickly toggle between front and back camera in the modified camera app. Copy paste can now be done word by word rather than by blocks of text.

This version also has better battery management features which allows the users to see which app is consuming battery  the most. Its next update v2.3.7 introduced Google Wallet which utilizes near field communication to store cards, redeem promotions and even make secure payments from your phone.

Android 3 (Honeycomb)
Taking a break from smartphones is the Android 3.0, Honeycomb update which was designed with tablets in mind. Everything is on the UI now with no need for physical buttons. The Back and Home keys get perpetual spots at the bottom of the screen. Widgets become more prominent as developers get more room to play with due to the larger screen size.
In the main view, one can see two bars: at the top the Action bar, which gives access to individual apps and widgets, at the bottom, the System bar showing notifications and soft navigation buttons.

The additional space also allows for a better, redesigned keyboard for more accurate presses and efficient typing. Browsers carry multple tabs and is available in ‘incognito’ mode, while the Contacts and Email UI carry two panes now for better organization and access of data. This version also has better hardware acceleration and 3D graphics support. Later updates (still under Honeycomb) added connectivity of USB accessories such as external keyboards or gamepads as well as improved handwriting prediction for Chinese characters.
Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Android 4.0, first released on Oct 2011 and updated in March 2012, is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. It had then high performance and speed, carrying many of the features that Honeycomb installed in tablets over to smartphones including getting rid of physical buttons for navigation.

The launcher is now customizable and users can add both apps and widgets to their homescreens. Default keys docked at the bottom of the homescreen can also be customized and carry multiple folders (or apps) which appear stacked together.
Users can now use video chat in GTalk, This version of andrid also featured Face Lock. The Task Manager now carries screenshots of recently open or currently in use apps which can be dismissed (and closed) individually by swipping them off the screen. This Swipe to wipe feature also works with notifications and browser tabs.Chrome for Android is introduced in this version.

Usage can be broken down by time spent on any and all apps, for better battery management and users can also receive warnings when breaching data limit, or disable data usage once it surpasses a preset limit. It also has an integrated snapshot capture feature which is initiated by pressing both the power button and the volume-down button together. A shutter sound indicates that a shot has been taken. Screenshots take up a separate folder in the gallery.
Other improvements include better text predictions, copy-and-paste, voice input, social-network-integrated profiles, camera features such as panorama view and options to share to social profile.

Android 4.1 (Jellybean)
June 2012, Jellybean is released. Project Butter made this latest update, faster, smoother and more responsive.

Animations and transitions are also visibly enhanced with vsync timing. Received a notification? Expand it with finger gestures to get the full info without launching the app, or return calls straight from the notification tray. Alternatively, users can opt for canned text replies in response to missed calls.
Despite this being a 0.1 update, the deal-breaker is Google Now. Initiate it by holding down the Home button and swiping up to get predicted suggestions and updates on Cards, based on your past searches and latest locations. At least, Google is putting all that gathered intelligence to good use – you get your own personal assistant, who knows you inside out and brings updates to your attention even before you ask for it.
